Beomaster 6000 Repair: Volume Drive Belt Replacement
The output volume of the Beomaster 6000 is controlled via a motor driven potentiometer. The motor connects via a belt drive to the potentiometer axis, which also holds a wheel that moves a string connected to the volume indicator ribbon (see Fig.1). As the potentiometer turns, the ribbon moves giving indication of the set volume. If the belt needs to be replaced, the pulley on the potentiometer can be pulled off the shaft (indicated by the red arrow in Fig.1), while leaving the white string that pulls the volume indicator in place. While the pulley is off the shaft, the ribbon can be inserted before the pulley is replaced on the shaft.
