This page discusses a number of issues I fixed in a Beomaster 3000-2.
Poor Tuner Performance and not Working S-Lamps
Weak tuner output, only mono reception, and not working 'S-lamps' can point towards a malfunction in the intermediate frequency (IF) circuitry of the tuner. The discussed case was resolved by the exchange of a 10.7 MHz filter.
Indicator Light Replacement with LED
Incandescent indicator light bulbs can be difficult to find these days, and they do not last very long. Replacement with LEDs is a viable option, which results in improved long-term performance, while being virtually indistinguishable from incandescents.
Replacement of the Main Reservoir Capacitors
The main reservoir capacitors in the Beomaster 3000-2 often need replacement due to leakage or drying out. A strongly humming amplifier is often a sign that these electrolytic capacitors need to be replaced.
